My dog is around 12 years old and even with his walk-up ramp his back leg and arthritis are making it difficult for him to get into my F-150. I need a cheap vehicle that he can get inside of. (preferably in the Ford family). Looking at a 2009 Milan with 110,000 miles with the 3.0L V6. Is this a reliable powertrain? My family had a 2003 Taurus with the 3.0 (Vulcan V6) and loved the ride and smoothness of the vehicle. I really just don’t want to break down with my dog in the car! Thanks for your thoughts on if I should consider it or run away.

Well if it was taken care of it could be a decent car. But as with anything you're buying a 16-year-old car so have a mechanic like me. Check it out before you buy
