2018 Ford Fusion SE Hybrid

5k, 160k miles

no accidents, runs and drives fine, no accidents, no trouble codes. The only thing that concerns me is the battery since my OBD app (OBD Facile) wasn't able to check the hybrid battery (such as its charge and so on. Also, it checked for 2006-2012 fusions so that was another issue. I guess I'm also asking for a good app to check this car with. I'm going to be inspecting it again today and I want to make sure I don't buy a car with a busted battery. The guy said 80% but of course you can't just take his word for it.

Take it to a good mechanic who has the right tools. As Scotty says, you should always have used cars inspected before you buy.

How did the Fiesta work out? Still set on Fords eh?

no accidents

How do you know that? Have you had a mechanic examine it for hidden accident damage?

wasn't able to check the hybrid battery

It would be unwise to buy any used hybrid until the condition of the hybrid battery is verified.

What you really need is a good mechanic who is a hybrid expert to check it out for you. No "app" is a substitute for that.

The app is a knowledgeable mechanic, preferable one who's expertise is with hybrids
