I have an orange warning light that started coming up. It only happened/happens when I am inside the car while it idles then I open the door then close it, it shows up for around 3 seconds and the car also makes a beeping sound for 3 seconds then it stops and the warning light goes away. This has never happened before. Tomorrow morning I will look for any tripped codes. I looked for this warning light in the car manual but I couldn't find it.

To me the symbol looks like an exhaust with smoke coming out and an exclamation mark in-between. Car doesn't shoot out visible smoke.
Sorry I didn't get a closer image. Link to image: https://imgur.com/a/yGR2eps
Car is a 2009 Subaru Impreza. 1.5 litre, Manual transmission. Km is shown on the image.
it's warning you about exiting the vehicle with the key.
I would try and replace the key fob battery, it may be warning you of a weak signal coming from it and soon it might not be strong enough for the immobilizer to recognize it.
It looks like a key fob low battery warning.
Haven't been able to find that symbol anywhere online....That's an unknown symbol. connect a high-level scan tool when it's happening and hopefully it will be able to read it.
It looks like a key with an exclamation mark thru the middle. But that symbol does not show up in any Subaru owners manual. Strange
According to Miss Google: Smart Entry System (yellow): A sideways key with an exclamation mark over it and what appears to be the symbol for WiFi signifies a problem with either the Smart Entry System or the push-button start system.
Boot for the win!
