Hi everyone 🙂
I have a quick question for anyone who could provide with any feedback hopefully from their own experience and how they've solved it (short of selling the car that is! 😬 😊 🤪 )
My Freelander version "1" from 2006 is sputtering and I can't understand why. The ODB2 is giving on faults so far and I changed fuel filter, also recently did regular maintenance (oil and filter, brake pads, inspection) and there was nothing out of the ordinary with the car.
The car started to have rough starts as before would start "within 1/2 a cranking turn" ie smoothly and immediately.
Initially was sputtering sporadically every now and then at low RPM... here I made a short video where it can be seen a few times how the low RPM isn't steady and smooth, some time is like in the video sometimes it's worse. When I drive slow and at low RPM i get the feeling the engine loses power and for a moment is about to turn off.

Like I said the fuel filter is new, cold perhaps be the fuel pump and/or the injectors? Shouldn't the ODB2 report something like this?
Thanks for your inside and shared expert knowledge 🙂
Cheers

OBD2 only reports problems when they're plus or minus 25% you will feel it but the computer won't trip a code. But that said any good mechanic like myself who look at the live data and we can see what's off for instance let's say at idle long-term short-term fuel trim will be off and you'll know there's a problem even though it doesn't trip a code. They might just start by looking for vacuum leaks and doing my video make your car run better with a little spray cleaner
