Does Gumout cause knocking sounds in engine?

I'm not sure if I hear knocking sounds or I just drove and forgot to close the hood tightly. I recently used maybe about 6oz of Gumout on a 2000 Honda Civic with 98k miles. When I closed the hood I didn't hear knocking sounds anymore except when I drove over a small bump. I also am not sure if my engine is revving higher because of it.

Edit: I don't hear the knocking. Must have been my hood. But I do hear like a hissing when I'm using my air conditioner. Is that abnormal for a 22 year old car?

Well, if you put too much cleaner in any particular system it can actually cause damage. Pour it in the gas tank doesn't hurt anything, but if you pour directly into the engine or something like that like engine oil, it can cause problems. Now many car AC systems his little when they run because the expansion valves are old and they can make hissing noises and various parts can make kissing noises that don't mean anything as long as it works good

Understood. Thanks Scotty! I didn't dare put it in my engine, so only my gas tank with 3/4 tank. I'm just anxious and I'm trying to make it my daily for the next 5 years or more.

Hi Scotty:

My mechanic who I also reached out to suspects something may be stuck in the cabin air filter or blow motor. Is this also a possibility?

I recorded a video and sent it to him but I thought I'd post it here. Thanks as always!
