To our members who are thinking of buying an EV esp. a Tesla think again! Here are some things to keep in mind that this Tesla owner encountered that is not talked about beforehand and she had the Model Y which is supposedly a best seller in some markets. She plans to sell her Tesla.
.
#1 Rough ride
#2 Spotty phone connectivity
#3 Electrical bugs (for example, windshield wipers turn on when she needs them but then she can’t turn them off)
#4 Car’s autonomous software has a mind of its own
#5 Thanks to the all glass roof, the car gets very hot in the summer.
#6 Due to the minimalist interior, there is not enough internal lights in the car, so she has to use flashlight to see.
#7 Tires wear out much quicker than on a normal ICE car (due to the EV being much heavier)
#8 Range anxiety and having to really plan for some long distance trips.
.
$80,000 and a minimalist interior? No thanks. If I drive an $80,000 car, it has to have the bells and whistles. I'm surprised Elon Musk got away, I thought there had to be a minimum amount ambient lighting (via gauges).
They dropped the prices so much of those Model Y’s that the cheapest new one is under $50,000 and that’s before the $7,500 credit.

New Tesla Prices have come down some $30,000 or so since last year. Sucks for those owners who bought last year. Resale value sucks!
I'm surprised that happened, but, like I said, EVs are competitive now. Traditional automakers will have the advantage, Teslas are for people who like to stand out.
They've always had horrid resale values, nobody wants a used Tesla, lol.,
Add to it phantom braking!
And poor resale value and higher insurance premiums.
In one sentence "rolling pile of junk"
I wonder why this video comes to my mind. Interesting they removed the Musk doll scene
