Door lock issue! Hyundai Santafe 2013!

I own a 2013 santafe. The black plastic piece on the inside of the actuator where the door closes has melted due to the heat in Kuwait (53.5 C').

Now, when closing it on the door strike plate, it doesnt detect that the door has closed. The reason is unlike many other models, santafe has the door closed/ opem sensor built with the actuator.

As a temporary solution, I have wrapped tape on the strike plate to act like a spacer and it works. But are there any spare parts which can fill the role of the plastic piece?

Well they used to sell those plastic striker pieces at least on Toyotas and Hondas see if you can get one at the dealer if not you're screwed you'd have to buy the whole assembly

Thank you for the reply Scotty. What are they called as? I tried to explain it to the dealer and they really are not that bright. Atleast if not available in the dealership, i will import it.

Seems like it’s sold as part of the entire actuator like Scotty mentioned (atleast the OEM part is) -
