I searched the forums, didn't see anything DIY-flavored, and was hoping the community could put a guide together. Not, me—I'm going out to clean my car in just a minute. Maybe if a lot of people drop off little bits here and there, we can put something together that will help someone else down the road?
I'm thinking these are good discussions, and that there are others I'm not smart enough or caffeinated enough to think about this early in the morning:
- What to Trust and Avoid
- What Works and Does Not
- Cleaning and Protecting Glass
- Cleaning and Protecting Plastics
- Cleaning and Protecting Leather
- Cleaning and Protecting Carpeting
- Stubborn Stains
- Removing Odors
- Tools and Gadgets
- Finding What Other People Miss
I will start with something I only think is true: Do not use water inside a vehicle. Something will end up rusting. But I could be wrong?
Yeah great idea share stuff but in the last couple of years I found a company called lithium and they sell some of the best cleaners and polishers in the world not cheap but quality stuff
Groovy!
I'm outside cleaning, and spotting all kinds of things I didn't think to list, above:
• Cleaning and Protecting Rubber Seals
• Cleaning and Protecting Painted Surfaces
• Cleaning and Protecting Metal Surfaces
Five minutes from now, I'll stumble over more things I missed!
I want to get the smell of the previous owners out, and it's gonna drive me nuts if I can't! It's not even offensive in any way—it's just there, and it's someone else!
