Hello My 03 S10 2.2l 2WD manual trans with 308,560 miles is acting up. The drivers side rear drum seems to adjust tighter the the passenger side since I did the brakes anout a year ago. New drums ,shoes,and hardware. I check it every oil change and have to back off the adjuster so the drag is about the same as the passenger side. Any ideas?

Are the contact points on the backing plate worn down? Common problem with decades-old high-mileage drum brakes.
