Drain Pans with Measurement Markers

Hi Scotty, I've looked for drain pans with measurement markers as I've seen your videos recommending to refill engine and trans fluids with the same amount drained out so as not to overfill. I can't find drain pans at local auto supplie stores with good fluid level markers and am curious if you can recommend any online stores that have a decent selection available for purchase. Thanks for all that you do for us novice DIYers. Martin

Aren’t you going to pour the old oil into gallon jugs or something for recycling ?  It’s just for a rough guess anyway. You should be using the dipstick or whatever the correct procedure is for setting correct fluid level.

Get a quart container (or whatever the smallest increment you want), and fill it with water.  Put that in the drain pan you have and mark the level with an indelible marker (sharpie).  Obviously use a color that will be visible.  Once the marker dries, add another quart and mark it, and so on until you have what you want.
