I have a 2005 Honda civic value package and it threw a p1259 code but I don’t have VTEC in my engine it’s the regular d17a1, I don’t know what it means.

I don’t know what it means.
It could mean your 19-year-old ECU is flaking out. Try resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes and see if the error persists.
