Hi Scotty- What's the best way to get a 2nd Chip Key made for my 2009 Toyota Corolla? I lost my spare. I called my local dealership where I purchased the car (12 years and 194,000 miles ago) and they want $300! ($175 for the key and $75 labor to program it + tax).
Is there another; cheaper option?

You could get a second key cut by your local locksmith and I assume they would do the programming too, since it takes 5 seconds with the proper tool to make a duplicate. If not, there is a transponder programming sequence you could do, by your self, when you already have the new key - in order for it to work, you do need the master key tho.
