Hello Scotty. I have a manual Bmw e36 325i 1994 209.000 km convertible eu edition. The legend M50B25. When I'm letting the throttle go under 3000 rpms the revs are hanging for 1 second. Also after they're going down sometimes the engine brake it's late for 1 second or it's not happening at all. But if suddenly I'm going downhill the engine brake reappear. I am mentioning that when I bought the car it was fine. Since the problem occurred I've replaced the maf with an original one, checked the throttle position sensor, replaced the spark plugs, cleaned the icv, cleaned the throttle body, resseted the ecm, changed the clutch and checked the flywheel which is in perfect condition, changed the O2 sensor with an original one, checked for vacuum leaks and nothing changed.... What do you think it's the problem? Also no check engine light... 0 codes

Well I would have to put my fancy scan towel on and check to see what's going on. Could be a software problem or it could be somehow the throttle is sticky. You said you cleaned the throttle, but of course if it's electronically sticking that won't help it. The motor assembly was kind of breaking down
