Hi!  I have a 2005 Toyota 4 runner, mileage about 64,000.  My dash lights come on, check engine code P2445, secondary air pump stuck.  I had everything checked, all good.  My mechanic decided I needed a new ECM. Toyota dealer told me they never heard of reprogramming a computer??  Anyway, ordered an ECM, wrong Vin number.  Can they mechanic reprogram it to my Vin??

Why does your "mechanic" want to replace the ECM when the code indicates a problem with the pressure pump?

Why the down vote @cindy63? Just trying to help.

That has been replace twice, and the code still comes up.  When he ran a twst on everything, everything passed

Did your mechanic check the sensors and connections before replacing the pump?
