Hi Scotty, A friend of mine took his dodge van to his mechanic and they replaced the EGR valve and the valve failed so they replaced it again. It has been replaced four times and the forth one failed. What could be the cause of this?

Are they using an OEM valve or cheap Chinese aftermarket parts?

Sounds like that batch of EGR valves were made on a Chinese holiday. Hey, what do you expect from slave labor anyway?
