Electric vehicle with manual transmission - could it be possible ?

I realize manual transmissions are a dying breed here in the US but I will always prefer driving a three pedaled vehicle over a boring automatic.

Can an electric motor be paired with a manual transmission and will it be as fun to drive ?

Keeping my three manual transmission vehicles because I have a good idea what  your answer may be. Thanks !

Anything is possible but it probably will not happen.

I doubt that you will see electrics combined with manual trans es. Electric motors put out full torque right from zero rpm, thereby negating the need for transmissions at all. I do believe they simply use a reostat to vary the amount of juice the elec motor receives to adjust the speed. I am not an electrician, dont play one on tv either, but thats what I think.

There are a few oddballs, but generally regular mainstream electric cars will almost all have E-CVTs

I saw one of those car shows, and there's a company in the UK (they drive a lot of manual trans cars there) that retrofits all sorts of cars to e-power and retains whatever transmission came in the car.

Scotty has a video mentioning some manual transmission EV's.

Manual transmission EV's are possible, but highly improbable for future production because electric motors are efficient over a wide range of RPM as opposed to internal combustion engines.

Like everyone else has mentioned, it's redundant to pair an electric motor with a transmission because electric motors don't need to operate at a certain rpm range for peak torque. Electric motors generate maximum torque instantaneously at any rpm.

No, because electric cars do not have combustion engines and therefore no manual transmission.
