Hi Scotty, First Off My name is ChadwickEzraJr. for some reason my user name is missing the K lol.  Second I love your channel and content and Been a fan for a few years now. In that time You've taught me alot and saved me a lot of money from avoiding mistakes that otherwise I would have more than likely made. and for that thank you. Ok so I have a 2003 Chevy Venture warner Bros edition and Bought it used about 7 yrs ago and I'm not sure when the radiator was last flushed.  I recently came across a video of yours about flushing your radiator and then realized that I've never done that  because I wasn't aware i was supposed to flush the radiator from time to time until i watched your video. Everything About cars I have to learn myself because i never had anyone to teach me. So I've had the van for 7 years and never flushed it. The fluid is orange/pink like, and not dirty but I watched some guy say some antifreeze coolant  can go for 11+ years with out needing a flush. So i'm not sure what to do. I bought the stuff to do it and its not hard of course So I'm thinking maybe I should just change it so i know it's been done. Your Thoughts?

Sure, go right ahead.

Use the correct coolant made for your vehicle, which you should find in your owner’s manual.

sounds Good thank you.

There are additives that become depleted over the years. And, it gets dirty, the ph changes, and corrosion begins to set in, producing aluminum oxide, a form of sandpaper.

So, yes, better to change it sooner rather than later.

thank you. another question i have is i know I 'm supposed to use the coolant the vehicle calls for but earlier at walmart I seen prestone "ALL Vehicles " yellow jug issue is my van says DEXCOOL so will the prestone all vehicle suffice or do I need to find something that has Dexcool mixed in. I don't know the difference between the brands aside from, well they're different brands lol. I watched a Autozone how to do a radiator flush video and the guy was using the prestone stuff and acted as if thats what could be used unless he was trying to advertise prestone products to push sales lol. you never know now days

Use the recommended coolant, in the owner's manual. If it's Dexcool, use that. And don't mix different coolants. That's a recipe for disaster.
