I have a 2004 Town Car with electrical problems. The door looks won't work inside or with key fob. Dome light doesn't work when opening the door. Locks and dome lights work one day, then not again for 3 months, then again one time then not again. I can turn on dome lights manually only. Can only lock door manually and can only unlock all doors manually.
Any ideas?
It sounds like an issue with your DDM (Drivers Door Module). It's in the door. Since it's an intermittent issue, maybe disconnect the connectors and check for any corrosion on the pins in the connector and module.
Check the wiring for chafing/damage . Also, look to see if the flexible conduit between the door jamb and door is damaged.
If you need to replace the DDM you can find a used one but it's a control module and will likely have to be programed by a dealer level scanner
