I want to share with you my experience in Honda South located in Morrow, GA on Saturday September 24 2022 late afternoon (Near Atlanta. 6871 Mt Zion Blvd, Morrow, GA 30260). I drove from South Carolina for 5 hours to the dealership. I also want to know if there is anything I can do to help myself from getting less lost?
I bought Honda HR-V 2023 LX 2WD and traded in my Honda Civic 2015 LX Sedan 2WD. I pay out the car. The prices are in the following
New Purchase $30500 (MSRP: $23650, Destination & Handling: $1245) demo car
Trade-In $13000 (Carmax also quote for $13000)
- Firstly, salesperson said, I have a book of $500 coupons comes with the car. However, the coupon was not given to me. On the next day when I’ve back home, I text the salesperson where is my coupon, and he said he forgot it.
- Secondly, salesperson said, window tint comes with the car. Next Monday, I don’t feel like my car has window tint at all, so I text the salesperson again. In the later phone call, he started claiming that he told me it will not come in after Monday, but how can he never talk about how I will get window tint after I drive 5 hours home when we are in the dealership? The salesperson is not telling the truth.
From the above, you will see that I’m getting a demo car LX 2WD with only a fender flare and a full tank of gas for $30500 (about $6000 more than MSRP). They failed to meet all the agreements which the contract we signed. Only when I ask why the car missing something, and they respond. Until now, they still not fixed anything yet.
From my own experience, this dealership or salesperson is not a good place for you if you want to save money or looking for a pleasant experience. I can provide the business card if needed. The dealership is making such a fantastic car less worth it.
If anyone needs detailed document or screenshot of the contact with the dealership, I can provide you.
Unfortunately that's pretty typical of dealerships. A lot of people fare a lot worse.
All right. Thank you for your advise.
The contract is all that matters. Also, you might have a document called a “We Owe.” It’s basically an agreement, part of the contract, that states the dealership owes you something. Read that contract!!
I ask the salesperson to show me that We Owe document, and it shows "Nothing Owed". They really take adventage of me.
Yeah. Hard lesson learned though. On the good side, you did get a new Honda. Keep that maintenance up and it will last you a long time
