Hi Scotty, what is the break in period for a new car? Is it better to have the first oil change at 1000 miles or 5000? Thanks

Follow the manufacturers recommendations. With a new engine, I usually change the oil and filter and PCV valve at 600 miles, and 3000 miles after that, but the vehicle manufacturer will have its own specifications to keep the warranty in effect.
