Hello Scotty, I have a 2001 Toyota MR2 Spyder with a 1800cc 1zz engine, I bought it new and it now has 215,000 miles. Just a couple of days ago I took a right turn very aggressively and the engine cut out for a couple of seconds then came right back on. It happened again today. I've never experienced this before. After the first time I noticed the gas was at about 1/3, so I filled the tank but it happened again. It hasn't done it when turning left as of yet. I've maintained the car very well over the years, 3000 mile oil changes and all services that it has required. I've autocrossed it quite a bit over the years but it never happened there and that's very aggressive cornering. Do you have any ideas. I'm not much of a mechanic, I can do basic stuff. I enjoy your videos, keep them coming.

I noticed your fuel pump is located on the right side of your fuel tank. Odds are it’s your fuel pump (if it’s still the original 20yr old one) since it doesn’t do it when pulling G’s going hard left.
Is it doing it even with a full (I know you said you filled the tank) tank of fuel?
Yes, even after filling the tank it still did the same thing. Never happens under norman driving.
Check the wiring to the fuel pump first, just incase there’s something lose. If the wiring is good, pressure test the fuel pump.
