Engine idles rough.

Hi

I have installed a throttle body spacer and a oil separator catch-can on my 07 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor.

Since then, the car idled a bit roughly. Today, I let the car idle a bit longer as usual and the check engine light went on and the car idled horribly.

My scan tool said that 02 sensors were running lean. I deleted the DTCs and increased the idling a little at 890 RPM. It idles better now but still not totally smoothly.

Should I leave it that way or maybe should I increase the mixture?

Thanks

I checked the vacuum lines and they seem to be fine. Could it be that I messed the computer and it needs a reset? Because I modified the parameters of the car quite a lot for getting best performance.

All bets are off with those kind of modifications, we really have no way of knowing what negative effects they may bring to the table. I would put everything back to stock and if the engine runs OK do one mod at a time then stop at the one that causes issues.

I enriched the mixture by 6% and it works fine now and no more emissions codes and I have the desired extra power.

Does anybody have an idea?

Possibly you disturbed a vacuum line. What do your fuel trims look like? If nothing else looks amiss you could remove the add-ons one at a time to see if one of them is causing the problem.
