Good afternoon Scotty,
I am in Nigeria and I am a huge fan. Your YT channel helps us alot here.
Anyways, Ive got a 2008 toyota camry, 2.4L, LE with over 200k miles.
I recently noticed that after I use and park it over the night, on opening that radiator by morning there would be a considerable push of water as if there was some pent up pressure in the rad and the water would jump out. And then when I start the engine while the rad cap is off, there are bubbles that would be escaping through the coolant then later on it froths up like foam.
Now, the car doesn't over heat, I just notice there is some loss of engine power. Our m ha here say I shld leave it and that since it isn't overheating then the top gasket is fine but I just feel they don't want to be stressed.
I know something isn't right, please I really need your advice....
Thank you.
P.S: it's not burning oil. The thermostat had been removed b4 I bought it so after I noticed what I told you above I changed the radiator to a double cell and connected one of the fans directly to when I start the engine, the second comes on when the AC is on.
are you losing any coolant?
There shouldn't be any pressure when the engine is cold. Sounds like the radiator cap has malfunctioned or your overflow tube is blocked.
