Its been awhile since this engine light has been on, I took to a mechanic and had some sensor change and spark plus 400$, nope engine light turned on after awhile, so we went to another mechanic, and they said they couldn’t find anything wrong with it? They recommended going to the toyota dealer, 2005 corolla le with about 147,800 mileage, automatic. Im a bit tight on money and im at a lost. I changed the gas cap as well, if I remember the code that pops up is PO171. What should i do, go to the toyota dealer?
Well clearly it seems like they ripped you off. Why don't you take it back to the shop who tried fixing it since their work didn't fix the issue...and DEMAND you don't pay anything extra because they should've made sure the spark plugs and MAF sensor were the problem ( I think they sold you that stuff for no reason). It's probably a silly little vacuum leak that's the problem. Look for any loose intake clamps or loose/broken vacuum lines.
Take it back and don’t take no .....
Get your money back or have them fix the car.
Better yet, tell them your going to the dealership and you will drop the bill off to them
for reimbursement. If they give you any crap, go to small claims court
Nope, you contradicted my comment, it wasn’t language related, but thanks anyhow.
