Is there an engine oil dye which can be used so see the oil level on the stick. I have a hard time seeing the oil on the dipstick. I know there is UV dye but I am asking is there is a regular dye to make it red or green so it is seen easily?

I took my Dremel and put cross-hatching on my dipstick, which helps a lot. Before that, I would take a clean white paper towel or napkin and lay the dipstick on it - in a few seconds, you can see what part is oil and what is not.

Just clean off your dip stick with carb cleaner and let it dry. Get a white or yellow paint pen and color in between the low and full marks. You'll be able to easily read your dipstick. Paint pens are available at most hardware and auto supply stores.
