engine revs up when i shift out of gear and when i try and downshift or even hit the brakes and stays reving high, thermostat stuck? totally noob guess but that's what we do, thanks Scotty and love all your sage advice and videos
Saab 9-2x linear 2005, five speed, stock, 89K, needs an exhaust system badly but im broke, love the car Saabaru
Sobs are not cars made for people who are broke the reason the company went bankrupt because they ripped everybody off and no one would buy their cars anymore.but it's for the revving sounds like the clutch might just be wearing out and it cost a fortune to replace
As you note, it's really a Subaru that was given a few tweaks sold as a Saab. (At the time GM owned part of Subaru and all of Saab.) The thermostat would not have anything to do with what you are experiencing. It could be a sticking throttle, hinky throttle motor if drive-by-wire, or maybe a vacuum leak allowing unmetered air into the intake. (Those are just a some generic suggestions since I'm not familiar with that model.)
