Hello I have a 2006 2.4L Camry LE that I am having trouble with on acceleration. I was getting a code and originally it was having all kinds of acceleration issues all the time. I replaced the CAT with a 150 dollar aftermarket CAT. Then I was getting codes for OS Sensor bank 0 sensor 1 falling below threshold. So I replaced both the upstream and the down stream sensors. Still keep getting the threshold error and now the engine runs well, but I am getting what feels like transmission slippage. If I accelerate lightly it barely does it, but if I give it between 1/4 and 3/4 throttle the acceleration feels like someone pushing in and letting out a clutch until it gets over 4k rpms then surging goes away but acceleration becomes slower. Also, if I push the pedal to the floor the surging goes away but the motor revs up pretty fast and sounds like there might be some knocking happening but no surging. The car has 250k miles, could it be the transmission has starting to take a dump? Is it worth scarping it or selling it for parts or can I get a cheap transmission dropped in it?
Transmission is starting to go either driving the ground to get rid of it now because they all eventually wear out on those in a used transmission is usually crap too
