P0325, Acceleration Jerk at Low Speeds, Idles Fine

2003 Camry V6 3.0L

Usually, anywhere from 0-30mph in 1st or 2nd gear when the RPM’s are between 1000 and 2000, this occurs. It shifts fine and does not have any trouble codes outside of a P0325 (knock sensor, bank 1) that occasionally causes the vehicle to go into limp mode. 

I have tried replicating this issue in neutral or in park, but it accelerates just fine there, which makes me think that it removes the possibility of it being fuel or spark plug issues. The vehicle also idles fine

I have replaced the mass airflow sensor in an attempt to fix it after a shop said that was probably what it was, but the issue continued. 

Could this have something to do with the P0325 code, or is it something separate? This really only started around when the knock sensor went out, and the car does occasionally go into limp mode.

My concern is that it’s a transmission problem, but the fluid level is fine, in good condition, and is not burnt. 

What could this be?

Have you tested and, if needed, replaced the knock sensor?

Never assume anything, especially on a 21-year-old vehicle.

What did they base this recommendation on? Did they test it? Why replace a MAF when there is a code related to the knock sensor?

If the knock sensor or its wiring are bad the PCM cannot detect detonation so it's going to keep timing retarded to protect against destructive pre-ignition.

What could this be? 

The DTC you're seeing is pointing the way to a possibility but it seems like you're pursuing just about everything else instead. Have you run a full diagnostic scan, analyzing freeze-frame and live data?
