Hey Scotty My wife is currently driving a 2010 Mazda CX seven with 111,000 miles. It has a five speed automatic transmission with a 4 cylinder engine; Ever since we got the car, Whenever we press on the gas even really lightly, It hesitates for half a second and then we suddenly jerk forward. Also, when we’re backing out of our driveway in the morning, sometimes the car will take off backwards as if we stepped on the gas hard, Even when we’re not touching any pedals/on the brakes. It runs fine otherwise and there is no codes, It seems to shift smoothly in drive and I recently changed the spark plugs as there is a valve cover leak that was saturating the plugs. Any ideas as to what is causing this?
Well start with my video. Make your car run better with a little spray cleaner. It could easily be your throttle is sticking and it shows how to clean both the throttle and the mass air flow sensor. Normally that fixes the whole thing. And of course make sure you have a clean air filter and that you have no vacuum leaks where hoses of rotten and are sucking air when it's idling
