Lower Ball Joints - Lube?

Hello CarKiller Community,

I recently had the front end rebuilt on my 2wd 2007 Ford F150 STX.   The tech replaced the upper control arms - ball joints, lower control arms - ball joints, sway bar linkage, outer tie rods, and struts.   I agree all work was needed since all were original parts,  the boots were leaking,  and bushings worn. Question:  the lower ball joints came with grease connections.    How often, if ever, should these be greased?

Thank you all!

I'd put more grease in them approximately every 3-6 months to keep the grease clean. Metal particulates in the ball joints accumulate from normal wear and tear in the joint. If not flushed out periodically, it will eventually cause the joint to wear out more quickly if you don't keep up with maintenance. Your zerk fittings will also thank you. The lower ball joints are some of the most exposed parts of the suspension, lubing them often will minimize potential blockages in the future.
