I'm doing an AC complete rebuild on a 2000 S10 pickup 2.2 l or 4 cylinder engine with automatic transmission and what I need to know and I cannot find anywhere is the threaded connection between the evaporator and the accumulator dryer has its own torque specification and its own wrench size requirement. Can someone please tell me what those are? How tight do I tighten that threaded connection flare nut going to the accumulator and with what size wrench?
Well you can't really do talk specifications on nuts that screw together that you can't put an actual socket on. I just get him as tight as I can with two hands. One on each wrench and I never had any problems with them leaking as long as you're surface areas are clean or if it has gaskets that you have good gaskets inside that are lubricated with little oil
