Every time I do a Crc valve treatment to my 2014 Hyundai Accent.. I hear a bunch of rattling and clunking in my exhaust along with a white cloud. Am I doing any harm or good to my car?
I've used it before without any issues. What do you mean by "every time?" How often do you use it?
I've used it 2x in the last 20k miles. I'm due to use it again in about 3k miles.
Well does it stop doing the smoking when you're done using it? It's most likely excess cleaner or carbon that's being burnt up in the exhaust causing the rattling and white smoke. When I used it, I never had any smoke or rattling. I got a check engine light for running rich but that's about it. I did have a whole bunch of carbon residue on my exhaust tips after which is a good sign I guess.
Do you have any codes for your cat? Also Hyundais are notorious of using bad quality exhaust plumbing. Have you had a look at your entire exhaust plumbing, along the length of the car?
