I’m installing a gadget on my 02 Honda civic that has 2.1” diameter exhaust pipe and the gadget diameter is 2.5”. What coupler size should I use?

Well you need two. You would need one that would fit over the 2.1 in and then over the 2.5 and another one that would fit over the 2.5 and over the 2.1. you'd have to step up on the front and step down on the back
