Good afternoon everyone hope all is well. My cousin owns a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo with the V6 has 150K miles on it. It was today he used Seafoam Intake Cleaner and followed directions with it and noticed after 10 minutes and revving past 3K rpm exhaust pops occurred coming out the muffler and how he can describe the pops it was similar to that of a turbocharged vehicle where it sounds like gunfire. It stopped after 3 times the rev to get some of the Seafoam out. It didn't happen while driving and flooring it either. Should it be a concern? No check engine light was present afterwards.
Per Scotty, don't use Seafoam in modern engines. It was designed for old-style 2-cycle outboard motors.

Oh okay
@chucktobias Im not gone lie I used it in my Grand Cherokee as well and it killed Code P0420
Sometimes you get lucky. I have no personal experience with Seafoam myself but generally would go with Scotty's half century of professional experience and judgement on something like that.
