I have noticed on some diesel vehicles there is a venturi or eductor located in the exhaust system. Usually located close to the very end of the tail pipe. I have seen some located on small busses that are several feet from the tail pipe. Why are these used or what is the purpose?

For cleaner emissions. Scotty just spoke about this in one of his videos today.
