I am looking to buy a Ford F-150 V8 engine in between the model year 2012 to 2016 which model year is better I am buying it for as my daily driver I always like trucks and big SUVs and the first ever truck I rode in was a 2007 f150 lariat manual transmission it was my fathers but he later on replaced it with a Mitsubishi L200 since it was a gas hog. But I would like for anyone to give me any pointers in regards to buying an F-150 I live in New York. Thank you and your opinion would be appreciated.

2014 was the last year of the 12th generation and 2015 was the first year of the 13th generation. I would look at the final years of the 12th generation, so 2013 and 2014. Stick with the naturally aspirated Coyote 5.0L V8 of course.
Be sure to have an honest, independent mechanic thoroughly check out the truck before you buy.
