Ford F150 2017, 2.7 Ecoboost, 4x drive, automatic, key start, just turned over 100,000 miles. After putting in new battery the truck began not starting for 3-4 tries, then starts. I noticed the brake pedal is very stiff when it won’t start. Note that you do not have to put your foot on the brake to start this particular truck, but I do that out of habit and noticed that the brake pad is very stiff when not starting and if I pump the brake several times and get it mushy, the truck will start. it’s currently at the fifth mechanic shop which has included two Ford dealerships and no one can figure out the problem. The latest Ford dealership installed a new starter for $1100 and told me they fixed it. I drove away and two days later the same problem occurred. No start. They told me to bring it back and they’ve had it now about two weeks and have only been able to replicate the “no start” on two occasions, which is the only time they can run diagnostics on it. This has been going on since February and it’s now August. I have a YouTube channel and many of my subscribers have mentioned several things, including PCM monitor, fuses, brake booster, corroded lines, but so far no luck. Any help is much appreciated.

I would hazard a guess that it's in the PCM. Because when you switch out a battery, sometimes it creates a spark voltage surge that can actually damage the PCM. I've seen it happen many times.
