Expansion valve is seized up on evap

Hi Scotty hope you're ok? I have a 2005 dodge Magnum 3.5 sxt. Changing the expansion valve. One bolt head was stripped so I went and got a deburring bit to take the head off the bolt.

You can clearly see the cut bolt with the head off and that valve is stuck on the EVAP.

So I even cut a slot in that bolt and it won't turn I was thinking that that expansion valve should just come off. Kind of stuck which way to go with it now.

Thank you for any help. Should I heat that valve or something?

Thanks again

Don

Given the age of that vehicle and how easily leaks develop in R134a evaporators you might want to just replace the evaporator as well while you're in there.
