Car hood gets very hot

Hi Scotty,Just bought a 2023 Mazda cx5..was delivered to us from car dealer..drove it about 65 miles to us....showed us various questions and then we put it in the garage..About 3 hours later, was in the garage admiring its beauty and ran my hand over the hood and couldn't help but notice it felt hot...not warm, but hot, like it might if it were sitting in the sun all day...5 hours later it was still hot...not as hot, but never felt "just warm," like our older car does after driving it...Nothing seems to be looking wrong with coolant level, and no alarm-lights on the dash...Guess the question is:  Do newer cars run hotter than older ones, and therefore, the exterior hood feels hotter and takes longer to cool down?  Told the salesman....he didn't have any explanation...Thought I'd try you, Scotty, as I watch ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL your wonderful videoes.  p.s. All I could find in my manual is that engine can be 190 to 210 faren.  Even my oven, if set at 200, cools totally down when turned off, in about 20 minutes.

Does the hood have insulation on the bottom of it? If not then the engine can make it hot. Exhaust manifolds get up to hundreds of degrees.
