Hi, so I brought my 2016 f150 to the dealership for a warrenty repair. The dealership just called me and said that the truck won't start and it needs a new starter. Its never had a problem starting before this what should I do.
Find out the techs name that was working on the truck and talk to them personally. Ask why all of a sudden the truck went from starting completely fine to now the starter needs replaced. Why after your truck sits in the dealers garage now the truck won’t start? I’d even make the tech prove to me it won’t start. Show me the connections and everything.
What's the warranty repair?
Go to the dealership. Tell the tech to tap on your starter with a hammer while you turn the key. Drive away quickly to an independent mechanic to have it properly checked out, including battery and alternator output. Do not accidentally run over the technician on your way out.
When you get to the dealer, be prepared to hear about other problems their "inspection" has turned up that are NOT covered by the warranty.
