Hello. I scaned my car and got 24% load_pct. Is it normal? Need help. The egr pct 4.7%

And egr_err -24.2%

I have a hyundai 2.5 turbo diesel 140000 km

Thank you

What is the exact fault code & what are your symptoms?

That's not really a fault code.

Anyway, the EGR PERCENT (egr pct) is the "command egr position". This is the percent that the computer is commanding the egr valve to open.

0% being the computer commands the egr valve to Fully Close, 100% being the computer commands the egr valve to Fully Open.

EGR ERROR (egr_err) is a parameter also displayed in a percentage. It uses a formula using the aforementioned (Command) EGR PERCENT and what the EGR Position Sensor is reporting.(The Actual EGR Position)

(if you're interested in the math):

(Actual EGR Position − Commanded EGR) ÷ Commanded EGR = EGR Error.

So for example:

If the EGR valve is commanded open 10% and the EGR valve moves only 5% (5% − 10%) ÷ 10% = −50% error.

So what causes the discrepancy?

You have a diesel, it's likely that you have soot clogging your EGR Valve preventing it from closing all the way, in which case you'd remove and clean your EGR Valve.

OR

You have a faulty EGR Position Sensor in which case you'd replace the sensor.

But you aren't throwing a code so at this point you really don't have to do anything

I saw a leek somewhere under the intercooler so i have to check it out first
