Hey. I have a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta Wolfsburg Edition 1.8T ( AWP ) Auto Tiptronic Transmission ( 09A ) just under 228 K ( Kilometres) It is shifting very rough for every gear, I currently have 2 Codes others wont pop again codes are
18032 ( MIL Signal Request Active
00349 ( Solenoid Valve 10 )
The others that only came up once and have not came back again are
01166 ( Engine Torque Signal )
01045 ( Tiptronic Switch )
I have read and been told an array of things like Wiring Harness, throttle body, Valve Body, simple trans service, but nothing consistent apart from these cars suffer common wiring issues. I have not done anything else for troubleshooting either then scanning it! Thanks
Take it to a shop that work on VW transmissions and have them check the car.
Thanks apologies for late reply, Car is at the Transmission shop, currently they believe it is trans related but electrical, they will be running a diagnostic hopefully tomorrow to determine if it’s internal or external. They confirmed the same codes I pulled. I am hoping it’s just a solenoid as the code suggests and not a valve body is I don’t plan on spending $500+ just for the part lol will keep you updated thanks!
