Fault in catalytic converter check light has come on

2010 VW Golf 2.0 Diesel 162,000km Dual Clutch Transmission. Car driving perfectly then went through deep puddle of water. Now check light for catalytic converter has come on. Could water have affected something? Replaced EGR valve & cooler @ 150,000km {black}:hi:

It was running perfectly before going thru the water. Besides the codes, how is it running, any rod knock, etc.? Jump to 5:57 mark, Scotty goes over what happens if you drive thru deep water. If you don't have rod knocking then you might be verrrry lucky. The car in the video, not so lucky.

Sure probably ruin some of the sensors the sensors I would say if the catalytic converter is bad in the senses go bad it will trip the code

Catalytic converter function is monitored by the downstream O2 sensor. Check the sensor and wiring, driving through the puddle may have affected them.
