I am looking to purchase a 2-post car lift for my garage so I can work on my cars a little easier. Due to my garage ceiling height and other constraints I narrowed it down to the MaxJax (for reference: https://www.maxjax.com ). I know in 2020 Bendpak bought the lift from the previous company (Dannmar) and made design updates to further improve it. Anyhow, does anyone have experience with either the MaxJak (I know it’s still fairly new) or it’s predecessor (Dannmar M6) and can comment what they thought of it?
Thank you.
Well I've been working in cars for 53 years and never owned one of those fancy live so I really can't say but my mechanic friends like Bend pack stuff
I am looking to put a car lift in my garage so I can get underneath the vehicle better and work on my cars. This is for personal use (not a professional shop).
Some constraints: 1.) My ceiling is 8-9’ so limited in vertical space and also won’t be able to stack cars; 2.) My heaviest vehicle is about 5,100 lb.; 3.) I am looking to lift my car up to at least 3 feet (36 inches) off the ground. Due to my low ceiling I won’t be able to go beyond 4 feet (48 inches) off the ground; 4.) I am fine with drilling bolts into the concrete garage and leaving the posts there.; 5.) Looking for ALI certified (for safety); 6.) Budget up to $3,000; 7.) Want the lift to last 20 years
What would be some good recommendations? So far my research has come across the MaxJax. ( https://www.maxjax.com). This was recently bought by Bendpak in 2020 and they revamped it. Anyone have good experiences with this (including before it was bought by Bendpak) and/or any other lifts that meet my constraints above?
I may ask about the MaxJax in a separate post to get more visibility, but let me know your thoughts.
Bumping this to get an answer.
you don't need to bump 1 day old topics
Bumping this up to see if I get any better recommendations for a lift besides the MaxJax.
