Hello Scotty, i recently bought a 2006 subaru wrx and it has been in a reck (i bought it with a recked tittle). About a month ago it started shutting off while driving and it wouldn’t turn on right away i’d have to spend 5 minutes trying to get it started dont know if it has anything to do with the alternator or anything electrical. Took it to the subaru dealership because here in Alaska there’s no good mechanics, the dealership charged me $158 for a new key and they broke it, they charged me $150 for a diagnostic, and they also charged me $228 for the problem to get fixed and they said they fixed the problem today i went to pick it up and it was acting the same and they had their “professional technician” take a look at it and their computer is saying no codes, and the car is fine but it’s not any suggestions?
Sounds like a real crappy shop there oh there's no codes well that's just where you start that's not where you finish. Since it's doing the same thing I would demand my money back or I wouldn't pay him in the first place and I go somewhere else. But you made a really big mistake buying a car with a erectile wants wrecked there's no saying what damage has been done to the wiring computer sensors that's why you don't want to buy a wrecked modern car too many electronics
