Already doing research for first car I might get in 1-2 years
Thoughts?
Thinking about something like the ones here: https://sfbay.craigslist.org/search/cto?max_price=9000&auto_make_model=toyota+corolla&min_auto_year=2014&auto_title_status=1&min_price=3000&max_auto_year=2017
Or if I have a lower budget:

Save your money and go for the 2015 or 2016. In 1 to 2 years you should have enough and by then the corolla for sale at that point might be 1000 dollars cheaper. Heck if your lucky enough you'll be able to buy a 2017 by that time.
Get a 2014-16 Corolla because they are cheap, safe, reliable, and fuel efficient. They are going to be like $6000 in 2 years and you would get a great car for you money. I am getting my first car by the end of this year as i'm about to turn 16 years old. I have my eye on a 2011 Toyota Rav4 v6 with 269 horsepower. It is a really fast car and pretty reliable too.
assuming everything checks out, I’d go with any of them. Make sure to check model year by model year, as some have quirks.
Yeah, youtube car reviewers even have positive reviews on the newer Corolla
autoTRADER Canada (2015 Toyota Corolla S Test Drive):
"I'm about to show you one of the most reliable things in the universe, a Toyota Corolla engine, this reliability box feeds reliability into these reliability pipes which go into the engine to create reliability"
Oh its reliable, but it must drive horribl-
"A CVT helps to maximize the modest output and improve fuel economy doing away with preset gears and helping the engine spend more time at at lower revs, saving fuel. Do you drive gently? The you'll like how this is set up, even low revs pull the Corolla along just fine and since the CVT keeps the revs fairly steady instead of setting them up and down through a bunch of gears it saves fuel... driven with a light foot this engine and transmission combination will prove smooth and quiet. Drive sporty... and things do get a bit more responsive, the CVT does give you a good instant shock of revs when you stab the throttle simulating a downshift..."
