Got a new Honda CRV2023 hybrid, I just completed 1000 miles. Do I need to change the oil now after the engine break in so I can get rid of the metals from the break in period. Pros and cons.  And how reliable are the new 2023 Honda CRVS.

You don't need to break in cars anymore. They haven't needed broken in, since the late 70s. My dealer level, '79 Pontiac service manual from 1978 states this. Simply drive around, getting a good mix of highway and city driving. Don't hit the rev limiter, and also don't push the accelerator gently, all the time. Do brisk and light accelerations for the first 1000 miles, and vary the RPMs.

Regarding to the oil change is that still necessary. I heard owner manuals and dealers won’t recommend it since they don’t really care about how long your car last.

It's not really necessary. They use all computers nowadays, and anything big enough to have gotten into the oil sump, came right back out. That's the oil filter's job. You can change it if you want piece of mind.

For sure will do ! Lol I get paranoid I do extra early maintenance. But all my cars have never failed me till this day !

I've heard Scotty say you don't need to but unfortunately I can't find you a video or anything where he says it

Yup. I couldn’t find it either ! But I might just do it. I can’t find any videos that say not to.

doesn't hurt but you really don't need to
