I’m a first time car buyer and would like to buy a car soon. I know the market is volatile but it’s time for me to get one. I’m open to new or used, but want to cap my spending at about 20k. I’m willing to go up to 25k. I’m interested in Honda’s and Toyota’s. My top picks are Civic and CR-V. What’s your recommendation for a first time car buyer?

Either of those, or the equivalent Toyota models, would be good choices depending what type of vehicle you want. Be sure to check for specific models that may have problems, and have a mechanic check out before buying.
