Hey Scotty
I recently brought a manual, 1999 Toyota Echo that had 181,400km on the clock (I live in New Zealand) and there is a flat spot when accelerating from a stand still, however it goes away while I'm driving, I changed the spark plugs, the air filter and it hasn't fixed the problem, I am going to do an oil and oil filter change soon. I gave the M.A.F sensor a clean and that didnt fix it either... any thoughts on what it might be....
Many thanks for your time
@jay_73
So it only happens in first gear?

Does it occur at a particular RPM, gear, etc? Can you refine the circumstances a little please?
When was the last time that you did a tune up/service?
When was the clutch last changed?
