We recently had some flash flooding here in Indiana in my hometown, and unfortunately my road to get home was flooded out. My parents had a tree fall across their driveway during the storm and because they're both elderly my father had cancer last year. And being 78 years old he isn't recovering from everything very fast if ever. So I took it upon myself to go cut the tree out of their driveway in case they needed to get out and in the time it took me to cut the tree up and drive what is usually a 5-minute drive home, the road was covered with water I could see both sides of the field on the left and right so I assumed stay in the middle you will be on the road because it was just a straight shot from where I was to my house but I didn't take into factor that there are two spots where the road drops a lot farther than you realize when it's not water there! When I made it to this spot I went from just over the rim on my tire it's not the whole thing under there was some rubber still showing but the whole rim was underwater from that to my headlights were underwater. I knew immediately that I was going to be in trouble if I didn't think fast so I thought if I put it in four-wheel drive I'll at least have the front tires on the ground because I knew that the back was probably going to start floating before long the water was just underneath of the window seal on the driver's door at that point. It would not switch into four-wheel drive I assume because the electrical system was taking a beating at that moment and I felt the tires start to almost like grind on the road where it was trying to lift up off the ground and then it would touch back down it didn't take long after that moment for the truck to die and I panicked and I tried to start it back it started up but It had a considerable power loss almost like it wasn't getting very much fuel or not firing on all cylinders, and then it died again and after that I did not try to start it up. By the time someone got to me to get me out of the water it was high enough the cup holders on my center console had water standing in them. It made it about midways up the dashboard is where the water line is just below the window seal on the door is there any possible way that I can put a little bit of ease on my mind and fix this truck because my insurance company is trying to screw me over and say I only had liability even though I pay $300 a month for insurance. I hope you can give me some good news sorry that I wrote you a book but if you didn't understand why I was in the water with my truck you would just think that I was a dumbass out playing in the water but I spent every dime I had on this truck! it was exactly how I envisioned the first truck that I got to build for myself. Any information on how to go about getting this truck running again would be greatly appreciated because I don't have a clue about where to start first and what to do until it's done thank you for your time
